For years there were two wheelchair accessible taxis in a fleet of 66 vehicles licensed by the local authority.
In 2005, Slough Borough Council took the decision to deregulate the Hackney Carriage trade and so the number of licensed vehicles has since risen to 103 Hackney Carriages, of these:
