Garden waste

The garden waste collection service will continue to run through the winter, except for two weeks between Monday 25 December to Friday 5 January. The last collection is Friday 22 December, starting again on Monday 8 January.

There is a garden waste collection scheme available free of charge to registered Slough householders. This green bin service will make it easy for you to dispose of your green waste with a convenient fortnightly kerbside collection.

How do I apply?

To register to the scheme and receive your green garden waste recycling bin contact Amey, our waste collection partner.

A green bin will then be delivered to your property. Fill it with garden waste and it will be collected from your home fortnightly. Find out your next collection date.

What is green waste?

Green waste is waste produced from your garden for example grass cuttings, hedge and shrub trimmings, small branches and twigs, flowers, small plants and weeds. Find out more about what goes in the green bin.

What happens to the green waste?

The green waste is taken to the household waste recycling centre where is transferred to composting facilities in Bracknell, to produce high quality compost products.
