Statement of gambling principles

In accordance with the Gambling Act 2005, Slough Borough Council is required to publish a 'Statement of Principles'. This outlines what authorisations premises will need, as well as what standards we expect from these premises.

In creating our policy, we have tried to ensure our policy is clear, useful and effective. We have provided relevant detail to ensure that:

  • Applicants understand what authorisations they need, what standards are expected of them and where to go for more information
  • Our colleagues in the Police, Planning, Environmental Health and the Safeguarding Children Board understand the details of the new arrangements
  • Residents and their representatives know what options are available to them and how they can get involved
