Help Shape the Future of Britwell and Foxborough
Slough Borough Council is taking the first steps to create neighbourhood boards that will help lead Pride in Place improvements in the Britwell and Foxborough areas of Slough.
In March, the government announced the third round of Pride in Place funding. Based on government data, Britwell and Foxborough were selected to receive investment that could total several million pounds over the coming years, with support potentially continuing for up to 10 years.
The funding will be managed by the council, but the programme is focused on long-term, community-led change that reflects local priorities and ideas.
Neighbourhood boards
To support the programme, neighbourhood boards will be created for both areas. These boards will help make sure local people are involved in shaping future improvements and that the wider community is heard.
The boards are expected to include:
- local residents
- community stakeholders
- local businesses and organisations
- local councillors and political representatives
Each board will also be chaired by an independent person.
