2016.09.16 Recall: Dunnes Stores Wholefoods Chickpeas

The following notice has been issued by the Food Standards Agency:

Gem Pack Foods Ltd has recalled one batch of Dunnes Stores Wholefoods Chickpeas, as a precautionary measure, due to the possible presence of hard pieces of glue.

The 500g packs of the product were distributed to the following Dunnes Stores in Northern Ireland only:

  • Dunnes Stores, Riverside Shopping Centre, Omagh
  • Dunnes Stores, Annadale Embankment, Belfast

Risk
Hard pieces of glue that are a possible choking risk

'Best Before' date: 8 August 2017

 

No other Gem Pack Foods or Dunnes Stores products are known to be affected.

Our advice to consumers
If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company
Gem Pack Foods is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product.
