DWP: Don’t call us – we’ll call you

People making new claims for Universal Credit no longer need to call the Department of Work and Pensions as part of the process. Instead, you should use your online account as much as possible.
If there are are any questions about the information you have provided, the DWP will call you. This may appear as a private number. Please check your online account and look out for calls. Please note that the DWP will never text or email asking for personal information or bank details.
You also should not call to check the progress of your application.
