Coronavirus and non-council services

Slough Walk in Centre

The minor illness and injury unit at Slough Walk in Centre is to be temporarily suspended from Wednesday 29th July 2020 as part of the national effort to combat Covid-19.

Patients will still be able to access treatment for minor ailments via their GP surgery, which they can access by phone or online. Further information is available on their practice website and help is also available via the NHS 111 service, by dialling 111 or visiting the NHS's 111 website.

All GP surgeries, are offering alternatives to visiting surgeries in person, so we are asking that patients do not go to their practice unless they have a face-to-face appointment with a GP or nurse confirmed. The Chapel Medical Practice, at the same site as the Slough Walk in Centre remains open for these specific pre-booked face-to-face appointments. Please visit the practice website for further information including on registering as a patient.

Anybody needing treatment for injuries such as suspected fractures, should still attend their local Accident and Emergency unit at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough in the normal way.
