Annual leave

Our annual leave is generous and the longer you work for us in local government, the more you get.

  • For up to two years continuous local government service, you receive 26 days per year, plus 8 bank and public holidays.
  • Between two and five years of continuous local government service, you get 30 days per year, plus 8 bank and public holidays.
  • If you work continuously in local government for more than five years, you receive 33 days per year, plus 8 bank and public holidays.

For part-time staff, leave and public holiday entitlement is pro-rata.
