Slough is one of the easiest places to get to in the country.
Two motorways (M4 and M40), a mainline railway station with direct routes to Paddington to the east and Wales and the West Country to the west.
Within Slough, there are bus routes across the area and cycling is easy on our flat streets.
Getting to Heathrow is a breeze, the airport is a mere five miles away.

Annual leave
Our annual leave is generous and the longer you work for us in local government, the more you get.
- For up to two years continuous local government service, you receive 26 days per year, plus 8 bank and public holidays.
- Between two and five years of continuous local government service, you get 30 days per year, plus 8 bank and public holidays.
- If you work continuously in local government for more than five years, you receive 33 days per year, plus 8 bank and public holidays.
For part-time staff, leave and public holiday entitlement is pro-rata.
