Who has access to data?
Your information will be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes members of the HR and recruitment team, shortlisters and interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.
The council will not share your data with third parties (other than Arvato who process our recruitment) unless your application for employment is successful and it makes you an offer of employment or if any third party will be involved in the recruitment process. The council will then share your data with former employers to obtain references for you, the Disclosure and Barring Service to obtain necessary criminal records checks, Arvato for the purpose of setting you up on payroll, and Berkshire pensions for the purpose of enrolling you in the Local Government Pensions Fund.
The council will not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area.
