Cyber / digital crime does not respect geographic boundaries. Having a consistent approach towards tackling it and protecting people is considered a helpful way forward.
There are plans to develop a 'library' of resources for local areas to use as needed. This would include the key online resources, awareness publications, and activities that are planned or have taken place in various localities. This would be Thames Valley wide.
The aim remains to have a common approach to cyber crime and to take advantage of existing knowledge, learning, and practice across the Thames Valley to implement and try out locally.

This guide was produced by Thames Valley Police, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police Service, and offers helpful advice on the various types of cyber scams being used to target people and also how to safeguard against them in the best possible way.
