Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF) 2012-2013

The Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF) is used locally and nationally to set:

  • priorities for care and support
  • measure progress and
  • strengthen transparency and accountability.

It is a defined set of performance indicators.

The ASCOF was first published in March 2011 and is updated annually in partnership with local government. For 2013-2014. It has been strengthened with the addition of new measures, reflecting the Department of Health’s and local government’s key priorities for social care.
