Who we are

We are a group of parents and carers working together to improve support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Slough.

Our forum brings families together to share experiences, support one another and help shape better services for our children.

What we do

We work to make sure the voices of families are heard and valued. We do this by:

  • Listening and representing families - we amplify the voices of parents and carers navigating SEND services.
  • Working in partnership - we collaborate with schools, health services, and the local authority.
  • Using lived experience - we use real-life experiences to help improve the services that families rely on.
  • Building connections - we strengthen links between home, school, and support services.
  • Creating supportive spaces - we offer safe, welcoming opportunities for families to learn, connect, and make a difference together.
