Coronavirus and support for businesses

Apply here for the Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund
This additional fund is aimed at small and micro businesses who were not eligible for the Small Business Grant Fund or the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Fund. This grant scheme widens access to support to businesses who are struggling to survive due to the Corona virus shutdown but are unable to access other grant funding.

Message for Slough’s businesses from Josie Wragg

We are currently in unprecedented times where no one is operating in the usual way. The business community of Slough is a major stakeholder so support and recovery are key to the way we are going to come out of this and stand up strong again. We recognise that each business is facing a different challenge depending on your own individual circumstances and the size and type of business you are.

To ensure your business is able to access the range of support Government has made available we are undertaking a number of initiatives with our partners, to ensure accessibility and information These will continually evolve as the situation requires.

SBC Business Support COVID-19 Taskforce:

We are convening a local business support taskforce of relevant local partner organisations so that we can all work together to identify ways to support our small and large businesses, the voluntary sector and our community. We will put in place new projects and initiatives or repurpose existing initiatives to provide the support that is required.

Slough Borough Council Business Support information:

We are also working with our partners to collate information from the Government, from Slough Borough Council and local business support agencies to help your business and personal finances at this time.

We have listed essential resources to help your business manage and mitigate its exposure to the impact of coronavirus and guidance and a business checklist. We will keep this page up to date with the latest developments and support, so your business has access to information.
