Covid-19 Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund

This scheme closed on 22 June.

In response to the Coronavirus, COVID-19, the government announced there would be support for small businesses, and businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors, delivered through the Small Business Grant Fund and the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Grant Fund.

On 1 May 2020, the government announced an additional fund, The Local Authority Discretionary Grant Fund.

This additional fund was aimed at small and micro businesses who were not eligible for the Small Business Grant Fund or the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Fund. This grant scheme widened access to support to businesses who are struggling to survive due to the Corona virus shutdown but are unable to access other grant funding.

Slough Borough Council was responsible for administering this grant to qualifying businesses in the borough. The scheme is now closed. You can read the policy below that set out the eligibility criteria and the guidance:
