Report a rough sleeper

Reporting a rough sleeper

If you see someone sleeping rough, you can help us connect them with support services.

If you think the person is under 18, please call the police on 999.

How to make a referral

If you see someone sleeping rough please make a referral through StreetLink.

StreetLink will tell us about the person you are helping. We will find the person and give them help to access local services and support.

You will need to provide StreetLink with:

  • the specific location of the rough sleeping site
  • the time you saw the rough sleeper
  • any information to identify them, such as gender, approximate age, appearance, and clothing.

If you requested an update when submitting the referral, StreetLink will let you know what happened as a result of your alert.

What not to report

Please do not make a StreetLink alert if the person is:

  • if they are not sleeping rough.

You can report anti-social behaviour through this online form.
