We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective consultant in public health to lead the public health agenda in Slough.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in public health and both strategic and operational leadership skills to take on this unique opportunity. Working within Slough Borough Council you will be part of the newly formed senior leadership team. You will be responsible for the local public health team and supported by a shared Berkshire public health team and strategic director of public health. This role is broad, autonomous, challenging and rewarding. It requires self motivation, clear thinking and excellent communication skills.

The post holder will be dually accountable:

  • professionally to Slough Borough Council via the strategic director of public health for Berkshire
  • managerially to the director adults and communities
