The Active Junior programme aims to encourage children aged between 5 – 11 years to engage within sport and physical activity. The government recommends children should be achieving a minimum of 60 minutes worth of activity 5 times a week. This programme offers a range of different sports and physical activity opportunities for children to achieve the recommended activity levels outside of school.
Active Slough have worked with partners to organise a timetable of activity that gives children in Slough the opportunity to take part in physical activity for free, or at a reduced cost. Active Slough believe setting a positive image of exercise is vital for children, and we want to encourage physical exercise as a habit for people growing up in our community. With this in mind, we offer a variety of different exercise sessions to ensure there is something everyone will enjoy!
