COVID 19 Latest service updates

All four of our main libraries – The Curve, Britwell, Cippenham and Langley – are now partially open for our new Click and Collect service and returns service from 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturdays 10am-2pm. They are not open for browsing or computer usage as we maintain strict COVID safety measures.

What is Click and Collect

Request what you are after using Click and Collect. You can ask for something in particular or you can ask for a type of book like biographies! Contact your local library using the form on our online library catalogue or email Clickandcollect@slough.gov.uk or telephone your preferred library:

  • The Curve: 01753 875533
  • Britwell: 01753 522869
  • Cippenham: 01628 661745
  • Langley: 01753 542153

A selection of books will then be chosen for you by our local library staff. We will call or email you with a date and a timeslot to come and collect your books.

When can books be returned

You can come to any of our libraries to return your books during our temporary opening hours – Monday to Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-2pm at all libraries. You will find a container at the entrance where you can place them. Any returned books will be placed in quarantine for 72 hours.

Overdue books and fines

We are not currently issuing fines. If you have any issues, please get in touch. You can renew your books in the normal way – online or by telephone or use our library app. Issue and renewal dates have been extended to 12 weeks.

How to browse

Pop into any of your local libraries and check in at the entrance where we will advice you and guide you through the procedures before you may enter the Library. You will need to wear a mask to visit our libraries.
Don't forget children over 11 years old will also need to wear a mask.
