A new Housing Allocations Policy has been approved and will come into effect on 30 November.
The policy sets out who can join the Housing Register, how housing applications are assessed and how priority for housing is determined.
Applications submitted before 30 November will be assessed under the current Housing Allocations Policy.
As part of the transition to the new policy, existing applicants will be invited to re-register between the end of July and the beginning of November. As a result, there may be some delays in processing new housing applications during this period.
You don't have to do anything now. The allocations team will contact you to advise on when you need to re-register.
The first ones being contacted are in Band A and current temporary accommodation placements.
Band C applicants will be contacted in August, Band B in September, and any applicants who haven't completed the re-registration, or those who registered before the new policy was implemented, will be contacted in November.
