Moving traffic restrictions in Slough
Slough Borough Council can now enforce some moving traffic restrictions in the borough. This helps keep roads safer, keep traffic moving and make sure drivers follow the rules.
A moving traffic restriction is a road rule drivers must follow while driving. This includes rules such as no entry, no turns, yellow box junctions and school streets.
Why we are enforcing these restrictions
The police used to enforce moving traffic restrictions. We asked the Department for Transport if we could enforce some restrictions ourselves. This was approved in November 2025.
We started enforcing moving traffic restrictions at some locations in Slough from July 2026.
