Secondary school entry
If you have a child who was born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013, you must apply for a secondary school place for September 2024.
On time applications for year 7 places at secondary school 2023 are now closed. All applications after 31 October for secondary schools are considered as late applications.
If you've missed the deadline you can can submit a School admissions late application form for secondary school admissions 2024.
Reception entry
If you have a child who was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, you must apply for a Reception school place for September 2024.
Before you apply for your child’s school place for September 2024, please make sure the following applies to you:
- You live in Slough
- Your child is eligible to start primary school in September 2024
- You know which school you would like your child to attend
- You know how your child will get to school

Everyone must apply for a school place. There is no automatic entry to any school.
On time applications for a reception places at primary school 2024 are now closed. All applications after 15 January for primary schools are considered as late applications.
