Completion of these courses can provide evidence for regulatory compliance. e-Learning is most effective when combined with opportunities for skill practice and discussion with supervisors.
Free digital resource for carers in Berkshire
There is an online resource for carers in Berkshire to support them in their caring role. It is free to use and includes specially tailored apps, guides and training courses:
- Jointly - a mobile app to help make caring a bit easier, less stressful and more organised.
- About Me – a selection of e-learning for carers that aims to help build resilience for caring, help carers build support networks and improve understanding of working and caring.
- The role of good nutrition in caring for someone - an e-learning course which aims to help carers understand the role of nutrition both for themselves as well as the person they are looking after.
- Upfront Guide to Caring - this is an online assessment tool that directs carers to specific sections of Carers UK's website for information relevant to their situation, and then produces a short action plan to help carers plan their next steps.
To access, create an account on carersuk. Professionals can also access the digital service by following the same registration process for carers.
