Video guide to Garden Waste subscriptions

Garden waste subscriptions are changing. With your new account you can:

set up your subscription and order a bin if you need one
find the collection dates
track if it’s been collected and
report a missed bin.

Go to www.slough.gov.uk/gardenwaste [The web address for Garden waste subscriptions is read out].

And select the button “Waste and recycling portal”.

You can create a login to sign up – or if you have an account with our website (MyAccount) you can use that to sign in too!

You might have a MyAccount:

if you have filled in a form with us before or
have had a previous garden waste subscription.

If you are creating a new account, you will need to verify your email address before you can continue.

Check your inbox for an email with the subject “Slough Waste and Recycling Portal”.

And follow the link “Confirm email address”.

You should then be able to login as normal.

If you are logging in with “MyAccount”, you will need to grant access but there is no need to verify.

On the my services page, select the “Register my property” button to add an address. Search by postcode and select. You can have up to 3 addresses on your account.

Use the “View services” button to go back to the homepage and then use the Subscribe button under Garden Waste Service to start setting up your subscription.

Let us know:

how many subscriptions you want (how many bins you want collected) and
if you already have a bin or if you need one. You must have a green bin from Slough Borough Council to have a subscription and your collections won’t start till it arrives. If you order a bin, it will arrive within 5 working days. If you have had a subscription and bin from us before, there is no need to order a new bin.

You will then be shown the cost.

Then you will be asked to give your billing details. You can also use your subscription address.

You can then let us know if:

you are the sole occupant and
receive pension credit.

which makes you eligible for a discount. You’ll be shown your final amount to pay including any discount.

You will be taken to our payment site to put in your payment details. After you’ve paid, if you want a receipt, remember to add in your email address.

You’ll be automatically directed back to your subscription site. You’ll find your subscription on the main page and once the bin is delivered the calendar will show any upcoming dates.

You can also report a missed bin by selecting the date and using the link “Problem with your collection?” Against the relevant date. Please note: You can only make a report:

once collections have been made in your street and it has been marked complete and
should be made the same day or no later than the end of the next day.
