The Constitution explains how Slough Borough Council works. It sets out:
- how the council makes decisions
- who is responsible for different duties
- the rules the council follows
- how the council is accountable to local people.
Some of these rules are required by law. Others have been agreed by the council.
The Constitution is made up of 17 articles. These explain the main rules for how the council operates. More detailed procedures, codes and guidance are included in other sections of the Constitution document.
