This is a national requirement. The majority of applications require a fee, however, there are some circumstances where exemptions and concessions apply as set out in the fee regulations. A list of the current fees are on the Planning Portal.
If submitting online through the Planning Portal, payment must be made to them directly. (An additional service charge will apply to all planning applications submitted. This is payable at the time of submission. Payments for online applications made through the Planning Portal should not be made directly to the council).
