Tree Survey, AIA and AMS - Local Validation List directory

National requirement.

The National Planning Policy Framework and BS 5837:2012 (Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction).

ANY applications where there are trees within the site or on the edge of the site likely to be affected by the development. This will include householder applications, minors and majors.

Need to comply with the following:

• the species, position of trees & canopy spread need to be annotated and accurately shown on the block plan
• trees with a diameter greater than 75 mm within influencing distance of the proposed development need to be surveyed
• must be compliant with BS5837:2012 & must include an AIA, AMS & Tree Protection Plan. This should be prepared by a qualified Arboriculturist possessing Professional Indemnity Insurance.
