A Delivery and Servicing Management Plan (DSP) is a document that outlines how a site will manage deliveries and servicing vehicle movements to minimize impact on traffic, the environment, and residents during the operational phase of the development. It includes strategies like routing, consolidating deliveries, and scheduling deliveries to off-peak hours to reduce congestion, emissions, and costs, and improve reliability. DSPs are often a requirement for new developments to ensure deliveries are handled safely and efficiently.
As a minimum the plan should include:
- the location of loading and unloading
- the hours of loading and unloading
- the frequency and size of vehicles
- swept paths
- details to mitigate noise and light pollution
- location of storage areas for bins, compactors, please check the Refuse and Recycling requirement for more information.
