Online search of the electoral register

The electoral register is not available to view online, however there are certain websites, such as 192 who make use of the information in the edited electoral register. If you do not want your name and address to appear in the edited register, please ensure that you opt out when you complete you registration form.

Please note that the Electoral Services Department does not provide any information directly to these websites. If you are concerned about your details appearing on these sites, you should contact them directly.

The Electoral Register only contains names and addresses, we do not publish telephone numbers. We only ask for your telephone number in case we need to contact you if we have a query with your registration.

Junk mail and 'cold calling'

If you would like to stop receiving junk mail, you should contact the Mailing Preference Service.

The Telephone Preference Service is a central opt out register whereby individuals can register their wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls.
