If temperatures increase too high, or drop too low, we start our SWEP.
SWEP was last activated between Wednesday 11 August 12noon and 9pm on Friday 14 August 2026.
Report someone sleeping rough
If you are concerned about someone sleeping rough during cold weather, you can report this through StreetLink. Outreach services will try to locate the person and offer support.
Out of hours support
If you need to report someone sleeping rough outside normal working hours (5pm to 9am), contact the Emergency Duty Service on:

Medical Emergencies
If a rough sleeper appears seriously ill, injured, or in immediate danger, please call 999 immediately.
