Temporary accommodation

If you are homeless or at risk, register on the Housing Jigsaw Customer Portal.

The temporary accommodation team provides accommodation under Part 7, S.188 and S.193 of the Housing Act 1996.

Slough Borough Council owns and manages a limited number of units for this purpose. Once these units are full we work with Slough guest house and bed and breakfast providers to place households.

If we are unable to find accommodation in Slough we work with providers in neighbouring areas to place households.

There is currently a high demand for temporary accommodation and many households are being placed outside of the borough.

We are currently placing households in Southall, West Drayton and Hounslow.

If you refuse this accommodation we will discharge our duty and you will need to make your own accommodation arrangements whilst your homelessness is being investigated.

If a household is placed in guest house or bed and breakfast accommodation we will ensure they are moved to more suitable accommodation within six weeks
