Results day for Slough’s GCSE students

Slough’s GCSE students braved the downpour of much awaited rain yesterday morning to collect their results, as schools opened early across the borough.

Councillor Christine Hulme, lead member for children’s services, lifelong learning and skills, said: “Massive congratulations to all of our GCSE students on your results, it’s another year of fantastic results across the borough and Slough schools have maintained the standard of education despite the challenges of the last two years. We as a council are so proud of the way you have navigated those challenges and strived to achieve your very best. We wish you the best of luck in whatever you have chosen to do next.

“We are very lucky in Slough to have such excellent teachers and support staff in our school community who work tirelessly, especially throughout the difficult times due to the pandemic, to guide, teach, and support their students. Thank you very much as always for your dedication and continued hard work.”
