The subscription-based garden waste service will see a few changes.
Previously, the annual subscription started on 1 December, and it would cost the same no matter what point in the year you joined.
Now, it will be a 12-month rolling subscription and for those signing up, the date they join is the start of their year for the subscription.
Unlike before, no stickers for the bin will be issued. Residents will instead have to clearly number their bin and leave it out for collection.
The subscription will continue to cost £50 until the end of March.
Councillor Gurcharan Manku, lead member for the environment, environmental services, and open spaces, said: “The garden waste service is a popular scheme. By signing up at a point that suits them, residents will really be able to get the most out of the service.
“Signing up is easy online and now there is no sticker to wait for, people can get started straight away. Make sure to clearly mark your bin and check the collection dates on our website.”
Green bins are collected fortnightly, with 25 collections a year.
