Learn some new skills as the next term of adult learning courses is open for enrolment.

The new term will begin on 15 September, and there is still plenty of time to enrol on a course, run through the council’s adult learning team.

Courses include functional English and Maths, digital skills, personal development, arts, craft and design, dance, health and exercise, cookery and eating, and skills for work and employability.

Requirements for each course vary, with more details on the enrolment website.

Councillor Puja Bedi, lead member for children and lifelong learning, said: “I am always pleased to hear how residents have benefited from these adult learning courses. They can learn new skills, improve on existing ones, and even earn qualifications which could help them when seeking employment.

“There are so many courses to choose from, so I would encourage everyone to browse the course brochure and see what they might enjoy.”

To enrol on a course, you will need to attend an assessment session with the team. Some of the courses are free (attend an assessment session for information).

There are enrolment sessions at The Curve from now until 26 September, with walk-in and pre-booked appointments available.
