Audit of accounts
The council’s accounts are subject to external audit. Members of the public and local government electors have certain rights as part of the audit process.
Annual Audit Letter
Every year the council’s external auditors produce an annual audit letter. For 2017/18 this was BDO and for 2018/19 onwards is Grant Thornton.
This letter is a high level summary of the auditors' findings from their work during the previous financial year.
Published statements of accounts
Each year we publish our statement of accounts. This incorporates our detailed financial statements for the year 1 April to 31 March.
