Replacement of the SPZ

Consultation on proposals for the SPZ 2024-2034 

Slough Borough Council working with SEGRO has published a Draft SPZ (Simplified Planning Zone) for Slough Trading Estate for consultation. The existing SPZ is due to expire in 2024.  

The SPZ grants planning permission in advance for certain types of development such as data centres, warehouses and industrial buildings within a designated area over a period of 10 years. Once the SPZ is adopted it effectively has planning permission. There is no opportunity to be consulted on the individual proposals.
