Strategy and priorities

The Slough Joint Local Health & Wellbeing Strategy 2026–2036 sets out a bold, 10 year ambition to make Slough a healthy place where everyone can flourish.

Developed through extensive engagement with residents, partners, and local organisations, the strategy focuses on tackling long standing health inequalities, strengthening prevention across the life course, and designing services that reflect the needs and diversity of Slough’s communities.

It recognises that too many people in Slough live shorter, less healthy lives — challenges that are preventable with the right collective action.

The strategy focuses on 3 priority areas:

  1. people at the centre
  2. prevention, prevention, prevention
  3. growing our health and wellbeing system with Slough in mind.
