Late applications and changes to Year 7 (September 2026) applications
Late applications
The national closing date for applications was 31 October 2025.
If you did not apply for a secondary school place by 31 October, you must submit a late application. This is available to Slough residents from 1 November 2025.
Important:
- submitting a late application can greatly reduce your chance of getting a place at one of your preferred schools, as the places may already have been offered to on-time applicants.
- late applications will only be considered and processed after all places have been allocated to applicants who applied on time.
Changes to Year 7 (September 2026) applications
Any changes to your application will be considered after you receive your offer. Offers for September 2026 will be sent to on-time Slough applicants on or after national offer day:
- 2 March 2026 for Secondary (Year 7) transfer.
If you wish to change your school preferences or their order, you must complete a school change of place application form to apply for a change to your offered place for September 2026 for:
- Secondary (Year 7) transfer.
Please note:
- your new form will be treated as a late application and considered in later allocation rounds
- it will replace any previous application
- be realistic when changing preferences, as some or all your preferred schools may already be full. In this case, your child will be added to the waiting list
- you may wish to discuss changes with the admissions team before submitting a revised application.
