‘Let’s quit smoking together this Stoptober’

Stoptober is the perfect opportunity to quit smoking, as you'll be joining thousands of others determined to break free from tobacco and make a lasting change. Smokers who can stay smoke-free for 28 days are more likely to succeed.

Healthier Slough, our local Stop Smoking Service, provides 6-12 weeks of free personalised support to help you quit smoking for good. Here's what you can expect:

  • one-on-one guidance from trained stop smoking advisors
  • tailored quit plans to suit your lifestyle and needs
  • access to nicotine replacement therapies (NRT) such as patches, gum, lozenges, and inhalators
  • support with vaping products as a quit aid, including access to Slough’s Swap to Stop scheme
  • carbon monoxide monitoring to track your health improvements
  • flexible support options: face-to-face in various locations around Slough, phone, or digital (including the Quit with Bella app).

Specialised support is also available for:

  • pregnant women
  • people with mental health conditions
  • those preparing for surgery (“Stop Before the Op”).
