Multi-Agency Early Help Strategy

Slough Multi-Agency Early Help Strategy for Children, Young People and their Families

This three-year strategy is the overarching document that governs and describes the early help partnership approach and system.

Estimates show two million children in the UK today are living in difficult family circumstances, including children with family lives affected by parental drug and alcohol dependency, domestic abuse and poor mental health. It is crucial these children and their families benefit from the best quality professional help at the earliest opportunity.

Without Early Help, for some families difficulties escalate, family circumstances deteriorate and children are more at risk of suffering significant harm.

Early Help is a collaborative approach and this strategy governs and describes the early help partnership approach and system across Slough, consistent with the council’s priority outcome: Slough children will grow up to be happy, healthy and successful.
