This 3.5 hectares Grade II listed park and nature reserve is a hidden gem surrounded by the imposing Upton Park Estate. Attributed to Sir Joseph Paxton, the park has been restored to its former Victorian glory with a £2.7million funding from the Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery Fund and support from the friends and volunteers of the park.
This beautifully restored park provides a valuable historic and natural setting for a range of recreational, cultural and educational activities for local residents and visitors including:
Whether relaxing on the grass, wandering amongst the wildlife or just taking a leisurely stroll around the lake, Herschel Park has something for everyone.
The park is open 24 hours a day all year round.
The Bentley Education Centre is open by prior arrangement with the Park Manager.
You can access the park from Datchet Road, Upton Close and Upton Park’s Roads.
