Booking your building control inspection
Once your application has been checked by a building control surveyor, you will be sent an inspection plan. This will outline when the building work needs to be inspected by a surveyor.
You can book these site inspections from a building control surveyor through:

- the Local Authority Building Control's (LABC) site inspections app

Prior notice allows us to plan our site visits more effectively, and we ask that you request your visit 24 hours in advance. Generally, we visit on weekdays between 10am and 3pm.
We prefer for you or your builder to be on site when we attend. Please ensure adequate access arrangements and facilities are available for the Building Control Surveyor to undertake the required inspection, such as ladders, scaffolding, and lighting where necessary.
