Welcome to Slough Holiday Activities and Food Programme, also known as HAF.
[background music]
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme is a DfE funded initiative for local authorities to coordinate free holiday provision, including:
- healthy food and
- lots of fun activities
for children who receive benefits related free school meals.
♪La la la la la la la la la laa♪ [indistinguisable singing]
Let's have fun!
If you're not eligible for benefits related free school meals, don't worry. If the provider is registered with Ofsted or run by a school, parents and carers can claim up to 85% of the cost via tax free childcare.
If you're not eligible for tax free childcare, there may be other help available from the government.
Children aged from 5 to 16 years old have enjoyed everything from arts and crafts to fencing, football and circus skills. They've tasted different foods, enjoyed a new experience and made new friends.
The HAF programme runs every
- Easter
- summer and
- Christmas break.
Did you know?
Slough HAF supported over 1,200 children last summer. And with more than 20 HAF clubs located around the borough offering a diverse range of activities, there is something for every child to enjoy.
