Community Governance Review 2018

Consultations on Community Governance Review 2018

Response to initial consultation

Submissions, views and comments were made to the council on each of the parish councils during the initial consultation period. Notes were also taken at public meetings.

The council considered a report at its meeting on 27 September following the initial consultation period.

Second stage consultation

The second stage consultation ran from 1 October until 9 November 2018.

In this stage of the consultation local electors and interested parties including the parish councils were invited to submit their views on the recommendations for Britwell, Colnbrook with Poyle and Wexham Court.

In response to stage 1, the council recommended abolition for Britwell Parish Council and Wexham Court Parish Council. Whilst SBCs recommendation was that Wexham Court Parish Council should be abolished, if there were to be significant local support for its retention, the borough council was, at the same time, consulting on changes to the boundary, size and the name of the parish council for as long as the parish continues in existence.

Regarding Colnbrook with Poyle, the first stage of consultation resulted in mixed opinions about the future of the parish council. Therefore, SBC agreed to consult parish council electors and other interested parties on whether the parish council is providing effective services and engages effectively with local people

Response to second stage consultation

Submissions, views and comments were made to the council on each of the parish councils during the second stage consultation period.
