How does it work
The board has several different ways of working:
- regular meetings
- events and
- smaller work groups.
Meetings
Meetings are held once every three months on the second Thursday of the month. The group meets in person and are also open to members of the public on request.
The meetings are co-chaired by:
- the Learning Disability and Autism Commissioner and
- a person with a learning disability or a carer.
To support people at the meeting we will:
- use simple language, no jargon
- have people to provide support during the meeting to ensure they have a voice
- have extra support after the meetings to discuss specific topics.
You can read the Terms of Reference to understand the role and work of the network.
