What happens when I apply?
When we get your application, we assess it against data held by the government. The government's information confirms whether you:
- are claiming one of the qualifying benefits
- meet the household income threshold (if applicable).
Once we have processed your application, we will contact you and your child's school with the result. Please read the information contained within the result email very carefully.
If you are eligible for free school meals, you child's school will contact you about the free school meal provision they offer.
