The Business and Planning Act 2020 has now been fully retained since 31/03/2024. This is a fast-track process for these businesses to obtain permission, in the form of a “pavement licence”, from Slough Borough Council for the placement of furniture such as tables and chairs on the pavement outside their premises.
The cost is £500 for a new application and will be valid for 1 year from grant. There is now a renewal which costs £350 and will last for 2 years.
