Reception and Infant to Junior school applications – deadline passed.
The deadline to apply for a primary school place in Reception or Infant to Junior school place (Year 3 only) for September 2026 was 15 January 2026 and has now passed.
Important: Slough residents only
Reception: if your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 and you missed this deadline, you can still apply using the late application form for the September 2026 intake.
Junior school: if your child was born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019, currently in an infant-only school, and you missed this deadline, you can still apply using the late application form for the September 2026 intake.
Please note: late applications submitted after 15 January 2026 will only be considered from 16 April 2026 at the earliest, once all on-time applications have been processed and offers have been made to them.
By law, all children aged between 5 to 16 must receive an education. If your child is not in school, you must either apply for a school place or tell the local authority what alternative arrangements you are making for their education.
You need to apply for a school place online. Please refer to the table below to check which form you should use.
