Late applications

The national closing date for Reception and Infant to Junior school (Year 3) applications is 15 January 2026.

If you have not applied by 15 January, you must submit a late application, which will be available to Slough residents from 16 January 2026.

Important:

• Submitting a late application can greatly reduce your chance of getting a place at one of your preferred schools, as the places may already have been offered to on-time applicants
• late applications will only be considered and processed after all places have been allocated to applicants who applied on time. 

Changes to Reception and Infant to Junior school (Year 3) applications

Any changes to your application will be considered after you receive your offer. Offers for September 2026 will be sent out to on-time Slough applicants on or after national offer day:

• 16 April 2026 for Reception and Infant to Junior (Year 3) transfer.

If you wish to change your school preferences or their order, you must complete a school change of place application form to apply for a change to your offered place for September 2026 for:

• reception transfer
• infant to junior (Year 3) transfer.

Please note:

• your new form will be treated as a late application and considered in later allocation rounds
• it will replace any previous application
• be realistic when changing preferences, as some or all of your preferred schools may already be full. In this case, your child will be added to the school’s waiting list
• you may wish to discuss changes with the admissions team before submitting a revised application.
