About the Cemetery and Crematorium
Slough Cemetery opened in 1932 and is designed with vehicle access so visitors can drive to graves. There are options for full lawn graves and graves for cremated remains, offering families a choice of resting place.
Slough Crematorium, located within the same grounds, opened in 1963.
Please note:
- Only funeral corteges may drive under the Chapel arch or the canopy near the Book of Remembrance
- Assistance dogs are welcome. Other dogs or animals are not allowed on the grounds
Visitor guidelines

- No smoking anywhere on the grounds
- Do not touch or disturb memorials, plants, flowers, or ponds
- Do not enter the grounds under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Do not climb on or over memorials, walls, gates, fences, or buildings
- Children under 12 must be supervised at all times by a parent or responsible adult
- Only park in designated parking areas
- Use the bins provided for litter. Please avoid leaving food, drinks, or non-biodegradable items at graves or memorials
- Scattering of ashes is only allowed in designated areas and with permission from the Registrar or crematorium staff
- Commercial activities, such as photography, filming, or sales, are not allowed without written permission
- Do not place memorials, benches, plaques, or plant trees, shrubs, or flowers without prior approval
- Please stay quiet and respectful, especially during funeral services. Do not gather near chapels or graveside services unless you are attending a funeral
- Drones and other aerial devices must not be flown anywhere on the grounds
- Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards (except mobility aids) must not be used within the grounds.
Opening Hours
The grounds and Remembrance Room are open every day of the year, including public holidays.
