How to take part in the consultation

The consultation runs from 27 October 2025 to 21 December 2025. Full details are available on the Consultation Portal.

You can take part in the following ways:

Online: complete the online survey on our Consultation Portal.

By email: download and complete the Word form document of the survey and email it to cts.consultation@slough.gov.uk. You can also send feedback directly to that email.

In person: attend a drop-in session at one of the following locations

What happens after the consultation

After the consultation closes:

  • all feedback will be analysed and summarised in a public report
  • the report will be presented at a meeting to the Council’s Cabinet in January 2026 
  • if changes are approved by full Council, the new CTS scheme will start in April 2026.

How we are telling people about the consultation

We are making sure people know know about the consultation through:

  • Mailshots to all households receiving Council Tax Support
  • Events with Voluntary and Community Sector groups 
  • Public drop-in events 
  • Online survey 
  • Hardcopy questionnaire 
  • Publicity e.g. posters in libraries 
  • Media articles including council website 
  • Consultation email: cts.consultation@slough.gov.uk  

We are working with Voluntary and Community Sector representatives in Slough to explain the consultation and proposed changes and get advice on the best ways to engage with those affected.
